  • Reducing the use of non-renewable petroleum and coal
  • Keeping plastic bottles out of landfills and the ocean
  • Helping to eliminate industrial waste

About the fabric pattern:

** NOTE: The REV PLATFORM X ships unassembled. This means the Rev Platform X needs to be assembled by you! All necessary tools are included. Any concerns about this? It's easy, but it does take time. Fitment & Compatibility Guide

Will the REV Roof Top Tent X fit my vehicle?

The REV Platform X mounts to any factory or aftermarket roof rack system with crossbars. Before purchasing, confirm all four of the following for your specific year/make/model/trim:

  • Vehicle Year / Make / Model / Trim
  • Roof System Type — compatible with bare roofs (with a fit kit), raised side rails, flush side rails, fixed-point systems, and track systems
  • Crossbar Dynamic Weight Rating — crossbars must carry the dynamic (driving) load; dynamic ratings typically 50–70% lower than static; REV RTT X package ~88 lbs; crossbars should be rated at least 165 lbs dynamic
  • Ladder Reach — included ladder extends to ~70 inches from ground

Which crossbar brands are compatible?

Standard T-slot / track interface; compatible with Yakima, Thule, Rhino-Rack, INNO; crossbar spread should be 24–48 inches.

What is the difference between a dynamic and static roof rating?

Static = parked only. Dynamic = driving (roughly 50% of static). Always verify dynamic rating with crossbar manufacturer.

Condensation Management FAQ

Why does condensation form?

Natural — two occupants release over a liter of moisture per night through respiration and body heat.

How to reduce condensation?

  • Open roof vent and mesh window before sleeping
  • Crack the door for cross-draft
  • Avoid wet gear inside
  • Use tent footprint when on ground

How to dry out before storage?

  1. Air out 30–60 min after trip, ideally in sunlight
  2. Wipe interior with dry microfiber cloth
  3. Stand mattress on edge to expose both surfaces
  4. Store only when fully dry to touch
  5. For extended storage, add silica gel desiccant pack inside

Is the tent treated for moisture resistance?

Rainfly uses waterproof-rated fabric; interior condensation forms regardless. Regular ventilation and proper drying are primary protections.
