Hard angles of their design cause higher swirl rates and friction which will increase the exhaust temperatures putting more risk on the engine.  With lower quality iron an exhaust manifold from a competitor or stock can weaken over time as the manifold expands and contracts it will develop cracks and even flake.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring the design process each port has been analyzed and tested to provide a balanced flow to the turbocharger.
